The production of these inks being very complex, their cost is very high in comparison to the standard metallic inks. But, when they are compared to the cost of foiling or the metallised substrates, the SUPRAMETAL® becomes an economical alternative. This is especially true if the printed surface is less than 30-40% of the total surface.
In certain cases, the Suprametal® inks could replace hot foiling, cold foiling as well as metallised substrates. Without imitating perfectly these processes, the metallic brilliance of Suprametal® can approach these effects sufficiently to offer a credible and practical alternative..
Suprametal® inks are produced from vacuum metalizing process of aluminium pigments. This process is very long and complicated but results in very special aluminium pigments which provide a metallic brilliance superior to the normal type of aluminium pigments.

These inks are based on Silver Dollar Aluminium which can easily be toned with Organic Dye pigments. Because they are non leafing pigments, they tend not to suppress the Organic colours and allows the mixture to attain its full potential. Ideal for obtaining tinted metallics possessing brilliance and strength.
Resistance to abrasion and Lamination These inks , based on Silver Dollar Aluminium are resistant to abrasion. They can be easily varnished and
laminated. Even when they are toned,
they still retain these properties.
Silver ink formulated on Silver Dollar Aluminium pigment (8 microns). It is designed for paper and synthetic substrates. Based on NC resin and Methoxy Propanol.— FEATURES Very high metallic effect and excellent covering power.

In some cases, large printers are interested in metallic pigments to produce the inks by themselves. This option provides more flexibility and lower cost and is very interesting for important quantities users.
To answer to this particular request, Radior provides a wide range of gold bronzes and aluminium pigments (powder, pellets and pastes).
